How to get a whiter smile.

Good morning crazy girls. Today I am going to be sharing with you how to get a whiter smile. I must say a special thanks to my cousin for giving me this idea. I was visiting her about a week ago and she was explaining to me that rubbing the inside of a banana skin on your teeth naturally whitens them.

* Brush your teeth twice a day to remove any plaque. When plaque builds up it can cause tooth decay.

* Brush for at least two minutes each time, and make sure that you you put the right amount of toothpaste on your brush.

* Don't forget to brush your tongue as well as your teeth. This will help prevent bad breath.

* Remember to change your toothbrush every three months, or sooner if the bristles are splayed.

* Use dental floss regularly to clean between your teeth.

* Visit your dentist twice a year to make sure that your teeth are in good condition.

* Peel a banana and rub the inside of the skin on your teeth. This trick whitens your teeth naturally

Please comment and give me some feed back or feel free to contact me in the "contact me" from on the right. :D

Hairstyles 4 school

I know what your thinking why oh why is she talking about school bu seriously its better to be ready before school come around then rush around like a headless chicken last minute. So here are my 3 styles for school. Feel free to contact me in the "contact me form" on the right hand side :D

Pony Tail
This is a very easy hairstyle. Simply comb all your back to the crown of your head and secure with and elastic. You can customize this style in many ways. For example plat it. Put little beads in it or do a quiff pony tail.

Bun
This hairstyle can be quite hard. You need a doughnut (bun doughnut not a real one). Put your hair into a ponytail and then put your doughnut over it like a hair bauble. Any excess hair gets pinned back.

Half pony
This is quite like a pony but part of your hair is loose. To do this split your hair into two sections. The section on the top should be tied at the crown of your head leaving the section on the bottom loose.

How to turn bath time into a relaxing treat

A bath before bed is really relaxing. Follow these tips and hints so that you can have that bubble-icious bath you deserve. Make sure to get all homework done before your bath.

Set the scene
Make sure your bathroom is warm and tidy. Place some clean towels next to your bath. Try lighting a scented candle, rose and lavender smell very nice. Have a cup of water or juice near by and put on the light music. Add some bubble bath or oil to the running water. You could even add floating flower heads or rose petals.

Relax
Sink into the water and relax for 15 - 20 minutes. Support your head with a bath pillow or rolled up towel. Let your worries float away.

After
Pat your skin dry with a warm soft towel. Rub some body lotion over your self pop into your pj's. Relax in bed and sleep

Follow my bedtime routine
for a great nights sleep  :D

The secrets of having a good nights sleep

A good nights sleep helps you feel great and look gorgeous. All glamours girls need at least 10 hours sleep each night. Try my tips to have those ten hours you need.

Wind down ...
Try relax the hour before bed by reading a book or listening to music. Make sure you get your homework done earlier in the evening.

Prepare for bed ...
Put a bottle of water beside your bed incase you wake up thirsty put on your comfy pj's, wash your face, clean your teeth and hop into bed. Read until you feel sleepy then put the lights out.

Get comfortable ...
Make sure your neck is supported by pillows. If your cold have a hot water bottle but don't wrap up too warm as you may feel to hot in the night.

Good night ...

How to clean your makeup brushes

Makeup brushes are great to use when applying makeup but the can gt dirty and any germs on them could lead to zits. Clean your brushes every two or three weeks to keep your brushes clean and your face healthy.

Step 1 ... Add a little shampoo to a cup of warm water (not boiling*)

Step 2 ... Swish your brushes around in the warm soapy water to kill any bacteria.

Step 3 ... Rinse the hairs under a running tap (cold water) until the water runs clear.

Step 4 ... Lay a clean towel on a flat surface and place the brushes on top.

Step 5 ... Finally leave your brushes to air dry

Finished :D

*make sure not to use boiling water as this can melt any glue keeping the hairs in place.

Back 2 School

I'm two weeks away from the end of summer brake ... time has gone so fast. Soon i'll be getting up early and putting my school uniform on. School uniform isn't so bad for me. Here are my hints and tips for customizing your uniform. ( Don't go too far you don't want a detention)

Shirt ... Try a new style of polo shirt you get many types from T-shirt polo's to Hollister polo's even polo's with pockets. Once you've chosen which type of polo you're going to wear start thinking about ways to customize it for example...
Changing the buttons to colorful different shaped ones
Or carefully embroidering a small star or heart on the side

Blazer ...  You can't do much with a blazer but you can...
Changing the buttons to colorful different shaped ones
Add badges
Carefully change the material inside the arms so when you roll your sleeve's up it looks quite funky.

Tie ... One ting i would not advise for a tie is inking smiley faces on it this ruins your tie and you could get into trouble. Try knotting your tie differently large knot small tie or small knot long tie ... experiment. You could also use a cool bobby pin as a tie pin.

Skirt ... Skirts are quite a hard one. First choose what length you want it to be short or long. If you go for short make sure it is decent. You could cut out a triangular shape at the back or side, ( i would only recommend 4 cm at the most) or you could choose a textured skirt, one with a zip and maybe a pleated skirt.

Tights ... Again not much can be done with tights you can choose fishnet style ones (not actual fishnets though) or tan tights. In the winter try wool tights and in October one day try black tights with little spiders on them. (not real spiders :D)

Shoes ... This depends on what type of shoes you have. If you have shoes with laces the add colorful laces. Maybe choose patent shoes or ankle wellies in winter. In summer pumps are good you can get them with lace, open toe's and you can also get patent ones.

Step 2 ... Next boil the kettle and place your muslin square on top of your bowl securing it with tape.

Step 3 ... Now pour boiling water (100 ml) over your oats and leave to soak over night.

Eyebrows

Give your eyebrows a tidy by using an eyebrow brush and brushing the hairs upwards. Now smooth a tiny amount of petroleum jelly across them to set them in place.

Eyes

If you have dark circles under your eyes no need to fear simply put two metal teaspoons in the fridge for twenty minutes. Next place the round part of each spoon on your eye for 20 seconds. this tightens the skin around your eyes.

Lips

With a toothbrush gently rub your lips to remove any dry rough skin. Now smooth a layer of lip balm or petroleum jelly over your lips for a natural shine. For better results try a tinted lip balm to add some color.

How to apply eye-shadow

When you are ready to start using makeup its always a good idea to experiment first at home. When using eye-shadow look for natural shades that compliment your eye color.

Blue eyes ... Pastel pinks or peaches.
Green eyes ... Lilac or golds
brown eyes ... Pastel/olive green or Golden brown.
Hazel eyes ... Grey/silver or mauve

most makeup brands offer eye-shadow in sets of three so its easier to find the right color.

Application ...

Firstly apply the palest shade to highlight your brow line.

Now apply the medium shade to your eyelid. (make sure to avoid the inner corner)

Next use the darkest color around the crease of your eye socket. (between the brow line and eyelid)

Finally blend the colors with a sponge where they meet.

Done

If you would like any advice feel free to message me in the contact form in the right side bar :)

Scalp Survival

Most people have dry scalp (dandruff) or psoriasis (cuts and sores) most people don't tell anyone about this because the can find it embarrassing. I've had very bad psoriasis for about two years now and today in going to share some tips to help it heal.

Dandruff

1. Try cut out sodium lauryl sulfate. Sodium lauryl sulfate is in most products from toothpaste to shampoo, this is what makes soap lather and toothpaste foam. It can be quite bad for your skin so try finding shampoo and conditioner without sodium lauryl sulfate in. You can normally find these in pharmacies or Lush.

2. An overnight soak in olive oil is a great cure for dandruff. Massage about 10-15 drops into your scalp before bed and wash out the next morning.

Psoriasis

1. Try Super Balm. This is a lush product that you should apply in the evening and leave in over night. I have tried this one before and it worked OK .

2. Tee Tree and Olive Oil is a great way to rid your scalp of psoriasis. Dilute 1 tsp of tee tree in 3 tbsp of olive oil apply this to your scalp and leave in over night then wash out in the morning. Try this method for a week and your scalp should be in better condition.(this also works for dandruff)

My 3 makeup recommendations

Today i'm going to share with you my top 3 makeup recommendations. If you have one of the products that i recommend or purchase one i would love to hear what you think about them so please tell me in the comments below.

1. M.A.C gel eyeliner

2. Rimmel London BB cream

3. Maybelline New York Big eyes liner (white and black)

5 Tips for school mornings

5 tips for school mornings

1. Take care of as many things as possible the night before: picking out your clothes and packing your bag.

2. Have a few easy breakfast options on hand that you can grab and eat on the go, like fruit or granola bars.

3. Skip the eye shadow and trace the inner rim of your eye with black liner to make your lashes look fuller.

4. Use a tinted lip balm to add color to your face and moisturize chapped lips at the same time. I love Maybelline's Baby Lips because it provides just the right amount of sheer color, plus I can apply it on the go throughout the day without needing a mirror.

5. Freshen up second day hair with dry shampoo. This wonder product takes care of any oil, dirt, or odor on dirty hair.
